The most immersive museum in the world. Seven floors exploring humanity's future in 2071. Mandatory advance booking, ages 10 and above only. AED 149 per person.
The Museum of the Future opened in February 2022 and quickly became one of Dubai's most iconic landmarks. Its torus-shaped structure covered in 1,024 stainless steel panels engraved with Arabic calligraphy quotes by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stands on Sheikh Zayed Road and has become one of the most photographed buildings in the world. But the building is just the beginning. Inside, seven floors of cutting-edge immersive technology transport visitors to the year 2071 to experience possible futures in space exploration, ecology, consciousness, and human civilisation. This is not a traditional museum with display cases - it is a live, theatrical, fully immersive journey.
Advance booking is mandatory - the Museum of the Future does not sell tickets at the door. Children under 10 are not permitted inside. The museum is closed every Tuesday. Metro: Emirates Towers station on the Red Line is the closest stop. Tickets must be pre-purchased online at museumofthefuture.ae or through SheikhWays.
Floor 7
The journey begins on an orbital space station in 2071. Visitors are immersed in zero-gravity environments and explore humanity's expansion beyond Earth. Interactive exhibits and spatial sound design make this one of the most technically impressive floors.
Floor 6
A rainforest of the future where climate-positive technology has allowed ecosystems to recover. Immersive projections, botanical installations, and interactive healing gardens represent a vision of ecological restoration and human-nature coexistence.
Floor 5
A meditative, sensory space exploring the future of the human mind through sound healing and mindfulness technology. Visitors recline in pods experiencing audio-visual journeys aimed at restoring mental wellbeing.
Floor 4
An exploration of near-future technologies across mobility, health, food, and connectivity. Interactive prototypes and speculative product designs invite visitors to handle and interact with tomorrow's innovations today.
Floor 3
Where human creativity meets machine intelligence. The floor explores the future of work, creativity, and the symbiosis of human and artificial intelligence in art, design, and innovation processes.
Floor 2
A large communal space with live programming, talks, and interactive social technology demonstrations. Different content runs at different times and is updated regularly. The programmes change with current events and themes.

Can I visit the Museum of the Future without booking in advance?
No. Advance booking is mandatory. The Museum of the Future does not sell walk-in tickets at the door. All timed entry slots must be pre-purchased online at museumofthefuture.ae. We strongly recommend booking at least 3-7 days ahead, or further in advance for weekend visits and school holidays.
Why are children under 10 not allowed?
The Museum of the Future's immersive experiences are designed for older audiences and require a level of cognitive maturity to fully engage with and appreciate. Some experiences involve dark, enclosed, or audiovisually intense environments that are not suitable for very young children. The minimum age of 10 is strictly enforced at entry.
Is the Museum of the Future worth AED 149?
For most visitors, yes. The technology, design, and experiential quality of the museum are genuinely unlike anything else in the world. The 2-3 hour experience at AED 149 compares favourably to the Burj Khalifa At the Top at the same price but with a longer and more varied experience. That said, traditional museum visitors who prefer labelled exhibits may find the immersive format less satisfying.
Is the museum closed on Tuesdays?
Yes. The Museum of the Future is closed every Tuesday. This is a permanent rest day for technical maintenance and programming updates to the museum's extensive technology infrastructure. Plan your visit on any other day of the week and check the museum website for any additional closures on public holidays.
