SheikhWays Travel Guide • 2026 Edition
Visa on arrival — free. Filipino citizens have enjoyed free entry to Dubai since the 2022 UAE-Philippines bilateral agreement.
Since the 2022 bilateral agreement, the process is the same as for other visa-on-arrival nationalities. Here is what happens when you land at Dubai International Airport.
Follow signs to "Arrivals" and "Passport Control." Join the "All Passports" queue. Do not join e-gates — those require an enrolled card or eligible passport type.
Hand your passport to the immigration officer. They will check it has at least 6 months of remaining validity and that the photo page is clear and undamaged.
The officer may ask to see your return ticket, hotel booking, and proof of funds. Have these on your phone or printed. This is more common for first-time travellers.
Fingerprints are scanned and a photo taken. Your passport is stamped with a 30-day visit visa at no charge. Note the entry date — this is when your 30 days begins.
Head to baggage reclaim and through customs. You are in. The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Dubai is available for OFW concerns: +971 4 220 7100.
These are not all required at the visa counter, but immigration officers can request them. Carrying them avoids delays or secondary questioning.
The visa on arrival is a tourist visa only. It is a completely different category from a UAE work visa.
