If you have arrived on this page hoping to visit Harry Potter World in Abu Dhabi on an upcoming trip, we want to save you a wasted journey. The current Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park on Yas Island does not include any Harry Potter, Hogwarts, or Wizarding World content. Its six themed lands cover DC Super Heroes, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City, Metropolis, Bedrock (The Flintstones), and Warner Bros. Plaza.
That said, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is an exceptional theme park in its own right and well worth visiting for DC Comics and classic cartoon fans of all ages. Read on for everything you need to know about what is actually available now and how to stay informed about the upcoming Harry Potter expansion.
What Is Coming
Warner Bros. Discovery and Abu Dhabi destination management company Miral have confirmed plans to expand Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island with a Wizarding World of Harry Potter section. This announcement generated enormous international coverage and excitement.
The Harry Potter zone is currently being planned and developed as part of a wider expansion of Yas Island's entertainment offering. The target completion is broadly referenced as 2026-2027, though construction timelines for major theme park zones of this scale frequently shift. The current Warner Bros. World already took several years to build.
No ticket sales, ride lists, or official opening ceremonies have been announced at the time of writing. Booking anything advertised as "Harry Potter World Abu Dhabi" from third-party sellers should be treated with extreme caution as the venue does not yet exist.
Based on established Wizarding World zones at Universal Studios Hollywood, Orlando, Osaka, and Beijing, a UAE Harry Potter land typically features a recreation of Hogsmeade village, Hogwarts castle, rides including the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster, Butterbeer kiosks, themed merchandise shops, and interactive wand experiences throughout the zone.
The Abu Dhabi version is expected to adapt the format for the regional audience and climate while maintaining the signature theming that has made Wizarding World areas the most-visited sections of Universal parks globally.

While Harry Potter content is not yet available, the existing Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is one of the world's largest fully indoor theme parks with over 29 rides, shows, and attractions across six themed lands. It is climate-controlled throughout, making it genuinely comfortable year-round including the summer months when outdoor parks become challenging.

Experience the Justice League-themed dark rides, Superman roller coaster, Batman: Knight Flight suspended coaster, and Wonder Woman rides. This is the most thrill-heavy section of the park and consistently draws the longest queues.
Younger children gravitate towards Cartoon Junction featuring Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, and The Jetsons. Rides are gentler and there are character meet-and-greet opportunities throughout the day at scheduled times.
