Step-by-Step Application Process

Follow these steps carefully. A complete, well-prepared application significantly reduces the chance of rejection.

  1. 1

    Gather All Required Documents

Before visiting the embassy or a travel agent, collect every document listed below. Incomplete applications are returned and delay your travel plans significantly.

  2. 2

    Complete the Visa Application Form

Download and fill the UAE tourist visa application form. Forms are available at the UAE Embassy in Dhaka or through authorised travel agents. Fill it in English, accurately and completely.

  3. 3

Book Your Return Flight and Hotel

You must show a confirmed return flight booking and hotel reservation. These do not need to be paid for — a hold or provisional booking is accepted by most agents. Confirm this with your specific travel agent.

  4. 4

Submit at UAE Embassy Dhaka or Travel Agent

Submit your application in person at House 1, Road 93, Gulshan-2, Dhaka, or through an authorised UAE visa agent. Pay the visa fee at the time of submission.

  5. 5

Wait for Processing (3–7 Working Days)

Standard processing takes 3 to 7 working days. Do not book non-refundable travel until you have the visa in hand. Apply at least 2–3 weeks before your travel date.

  6. 6

    Collect Your Visa and Travel

Once approved, collect your stamped passport or receive your e-visa by email. Print your e-visa and carry it with your passport. Present both at Dubai Immigration on arrival.

Most Common Reason for Rejection

Insufficient bank balance. The UAE Embassy scrutinises bank statements carefully. A low or inconsistent balance — or a bank account that shows a sudden large deposit right before application — raises concerns. Maintain a consistent balance of at least BDT 100,000 for at least 3 months before applying.

Important Tips for Bangladeshi Applicants

  • Apply at least 3 weeks before your travel date to allow time for processing and to re-apply if needed.
  • Use an authorised travel agent if you are unfamiliar with the process — they can review your documents before submission and improve your chances.
  • Do not overstay your visa. The overstay fine is AED 100 per day and unpaid fines result in a ban from future UAE entry.
  • Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi: +971 2 665 5388. Bangladesh Consulate in Dubai: +971 4 268 1451.
  • Once in Dubai, dress modestly in public areas (malls, souks, beaches). Swimwear is acceptable at beaches and pools.
