About Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a large indoor-outdoor souk complex built in traditional Arabian style, forming part of the Madinat Jumeirah resort complex. Traditional wind-tower architecture, carved wooden details, and a network of waterways with wooden Abra boats create an atmosphere unique in Dubai.

The souk is most famous for its dining — multiple restaurants face Burj Al Arab across the water, providing some of the most dramatic restaurant views in the world. The view of the sail-shaped hotel at sunset from a Souk Madinat terrace is one of Dubai's great experiences.

Best time: Evening (from 6pm) when the Burj Al Arab lights up against the night sky. Book restaurants in advance for weekend evenings — the waterfront tables fill quickly. The souk itself is open daily 10am-11pm.
