Choosing things to do in Dubai with kids

The best things to do in Dubai with kids depend mostly on age: toddlers are happy with the aquarium panel, beaches and gardens, 4 to 8 year olds get the most from LEGOLAND and KidZania, and older children and teens want water parks and roller coasters.

Below, activities are grouped by the age that gets most value from them, with prices where we could confirm them from the official source in September 2026. Where a price was not published, we say so rather than guess.

Check the season first

Several outdoor attractions close over the summer. Dubai Miracle Garden reopens on 8 October 2026, Dubai Safari Park on 12 October and Global Village on 14 October. From roughly June to September, plan around indoor venues and early mornings.

Tips for planning kids' activities

🌡

Match the activity to the season

Outdoor parks, beaches and desert trips are most comfortable from November to March. From roughly June to September, plan indoor parks, water parks early in the day, and malls. Several outdoor venues close over the summer and reopen in October.

📲

Book online and avoid Saturdays

Online prices are often lower than gate prices, and the UAE weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is when parks are busiest. Weekdays outside school holidays are quieter.

📏

Check height rules first

Many rides use height rather than age limits. Measure your children before you go so nobody is disappointed at the queue.

⚠

Some big names are closed

The Museum of the Future is temporarily closed, the Dubai Museum at Al Fahidi Fort has been closed since 2021, and The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah closed in 2023. Check before planning a day around any attraction.

🚘

Car seats and getting there

Children under 4 must use a child seat, and children under 10 or under 145 cm cannot sit in the front. For transport, areas and costs, see our Dubai for families planning guide.

Travelling with a baby?
