Burj Khalifa tickets are sold for timed entry to three observation experiences: At the Top (Levels 124 and 125), At the Top SKY (Level 148, which also includes 124 and 125) and The Lounge (Levels 152 to 154). The price depends on the tier and, above all, the time slot: sunset "prime" slots cost noticeably more than morning or late-evening ones. Book a dated slot on the official site, atthetop.ae, and check the live price there, because rates change by season and demand.

Burj Khalifa ticket types compared

All three tiers use the high-speed lifts from the Lower Ground entrance. The table compares what each ticket gets you. Prices are not listed here because they change with slot and season; the booking page shows the exact figure for your date.

TicketLevelsHeightIncludesBest for
At the Top Best for first-timers 124 and 125 About 452 to 456 m Indoor deck, outdoor terrace on 124, exhibits and digital telescopes Most visitors, families, budget
At the Top SKY 148, plus 124 and 125 About 555 m Priority lift access, host-led visit, refreshments on 148, outdoor terrace Fewer crowds, special occasions
The Lounge 152 to 154 About 585 m Lounge seating, food and drinks, timed sessions; smart-casual dress code Celebrations, adults wanting a seated visit
Prime vs non-prime: The late-afternoon to sunset window is sold as prime time and costs most. Morning and later-evening slots are cheaper for the same deck. If the view matters more than the sunset, a non-prime slot is the simplest saving.

How to book Burj Khalifa tickets

  1. Pick the tier. At the Top covers what most people want. Choose SKY only if a quieter, higher deck and refreshments are worth the extra to you.
  2. Pick the slot. Entry is timed. Decide between a sunset prime slot and a cheaper non-prime slot before you look at prices.
  3. Book on atthetop.ae. You receive an e-ticket for your time slot. Resellers and hotel concierges also sell tickets, sometimes bundled with other attractions; check exactly which levels and time are included.
  4. Arrive before your slot. Allow time to walk through The Dubai Mall to the Lower Ground entrance and pass airport-style security. Late arrivals may not be admitted on their original slot.
  5. Bring ID for child or resident rates. If you booked a reduced ticket, you may be asked for proof of age or residency.

Walk-up tickets

You can buy at the ticket counter if slots remain, but prime slots in the cooler months (roughly October to April) and on holidays often sell out in advance, and on-the-day prices can be higher. Book ahead if you want a specific sunset time.

Opening times and choosing a time slot

At the Top runs timed slots from morning until late evening, with longer hours on some days and during Ramadan and holiday periods. The exact first and last slot for your date appears in the booking calendar; check it rather than relying on fixed hours from third-party sites.

  • Sunset (prime): daylight, golden hour and city lights in one visit. Book the slot starting 30 to 45 minutes before sunset.
  • Morning (non-prime): usually cheaper and often clearer in winter; summer haze can reduce visibility at any time.
  • Late evening (non-prime): night views at a lower price. For a full night-time plan, including the fountain, see our Burj Khalifa at night guide.

Finding the At the Top entrance

Take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station and follow the covered walkway into The Dubai Mall, then the At the Top signs down to the Lower Ground level. The walk takes around 15 to 20 minutes at a normal pace. By taxi, ask for The Dubai Mall rather than the tower itself; hotel and residence entrances around the tower do not lead to the observation decks. Our Dubai Mall guide covers parking and the mall layout.

Ticket tips that save money or hassle

  1. 1
Check the slot time, not just the date. The same ticket costs different amounts across the day.
  2. 2
Read reseller bundles carefully. Some "combo" deals include only Levels 124 and 125, or fix a slot you cannot change.
  3. 3
Check the weather and haze. Dust and summer haze can hide the view; check the forecast the day before if your ticket is changeable.
  4. 4
Families: check age bands before paying. For buggies, lifts and keeping children interested, read our Burj Khalifa with kids guide.
  5. 5
Dining is a separate booking. Atmosphere on Level 122 is a restaurant, not an observation deck ticket, and does not include At the Top access.
