Dubai Marina Walk is the free public promenade that runs around the Dubai Marina canal. The full loop is usually quoted at about 7 km, but most people walk a 2 to 3 km stretch from Dubai Marina Mall and Pier 7, ideally around sunset. Here is how to plan the route, what you pass on each section and when to go.
The promenade follows both banks of the canal, crossing at footbridges, so you can walk a full loop or a shorter out-and-back. The path is paved and largely flat. If you need step-free access, check footbridge crossings as you go.
| Option | Distance (approx.) | Time at easy pace | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Marina Mall and Pier 7 section, out and back | 2 to 3 km | 30 to 45 min | First visit, dinner plans |
| One bank of the canal, return by tram | 3 to 4 km | 45 to 60 min | Seeing more without doubling back |
| Full loop around the marina | About 7 km | 75 to 90 min without stops | Runners, keen walkers |
Distances are approximate and depend on which footbridges you use.
Not the same as The Walk at JBR: Marina Walk runs around the canal. The Walk at JBR is a separate outdoor street of shops and restaurants behind JBR beach, a short walk away.
