What an overnight desert safari in Dubai costs, how tents and rooms differ, and which details to confirm before you pay.
An overnight desert safari in Dubai ranges from a basic shared-camp package, which adds a night in a simple tent to a standard evening safari, to conservation-reserve camps such as Platinum Heritage at AED 1,195 per adult including VAT (as of September 2026). The price is driven by three things: the camp, the type of room or tent, and whether you share facilities. Every package we checked runs from an afternoon pickup to a return the next morning, with dinner, the night at camp and breakfast included.
This page is about choosing and pricing a package. For night temperatures by month, packing and stargazing, read our guide to overnight desert camping.
| Package type | Indicative price per adult | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Shared camp, basic tent | Lowest tier; varies widely by operator | Evening safari plus sleeping bag or mattress in a simple tent, shared toilets |
| Private tent at a mid-range camp | Mid tier; ask for a written quote | Your own tent with a bed, better bedding, sometimes private bathroom |
| Conservation-reserve camp (for example Platinum Heritage) | AED 1,195 adult, AED 995 child 5 to 11, incl. VAT | Smaller camp, nature drive in a vintage Land Rover or by camel, four-course dinner, gourmet breakfast |
Figures are indicative as of September 2026 and set by each operator. Check the operator's site before you book. Arabian Adventures also runs an overnight programme with private tents; its rates vary by tent and occupancy, so request a quote for your dates.
Optional extras sold by some operators include a sunrise hot air balloon flight. The evening part of the programme is much the same as a standard trip, which our evening desert safari prices page covers. If you would rather not sleep out, a morning desert safari gets you sunrise-hour dunes without the night.

It depends mainly on the camp and the room. At the premium end, Platinum Heritage listed its overnight safari in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve at AED 1,195 per adult and AED 995 per child aged 5 to 11, including VAT, as of September 2026. Shared-camp packages that add a night in a basic tent to a standard evening safari cost considerably less. Always confirm the current price on the operator's own site.
A typical package combines an evening safari (dune drive or nature drive, camel ride, dinner and entertainment) with a night at the camp, then breakfast and a morning activity before the return transfer. The Platinum Heritage package, for example, includes a 60-minute nature safari by vintage Land Rover or camel, a falcon display, a four-course dinner, stargazing, the overnight stay and breakfast.
Not always. Some premium camps deliberately keep rooms simple: Platinum Heritage says its stone dwelling rooms have beds and bedding but no air conditioning, heating or private shower, with communal bathrooms. If you need air conditioning or an en-suite bathroom, ask for it by name before you pay.
Most start with an afternoon hotel pickup and finish the next morning. Platinum Heritage, for instance, collects guests between 2:00 and 4:30 pm and returns them between 9:00 and 10:00 am the next day. Pack only a small overnight bag.
Some operators accept children, often with child rates for ages 5 to 11, but age limits, dune-driving rules and bedding arrangements differ. Check the operator's minimum age and ask whether family rooms are available.
