A morning desert safari in Dubai costs from under AED 100 per person for a basic shared trip to around AED 300 per adult with a quad bike session included, based on operator listings we checked in September 2026. The standard format is a 4-hour trip: hotel pickup around 7:30 to 9:00 am, 30 to 45 minutes of dune driving in a 4x4, sandboarding, a short camel ride, and back in the city by about midday. There is no dinner, no evening show and, in many packages, no breakfast.

This page covers prices, what each price level includes and how to book. For how the morning feels on the ground, heat by month and what to wear, read our guide to what to expect on a morning safari.

Prices are per person unless stated, usually include VAT and hotel transfers inside Dubai, and are set by each operator. They change with season and demand, so check the operator's own site before you travel. One operator we checked, Desert Safari Dubai, listed its morning safari with 20 minutes of quad biking at AED 300 per adult and AED 270 per child aged 3 to 10.

What is included on a morning safari

Usually included

  • Pickup and drop-off from Dubai hotels (some operators also cover Sharjah)
  • Dune driving in a 4x4, commonly a Toyota Land Cruiser, for about 30 to 45 minutes
  • Sandboarding on a dune face
  • A short camel ride
  • Bottled water and soft drinks

Often extra or not offered

  • Quad bike or dune buggy sessions
  • Breakfast (confirm before booking)
  • Dinner, belly dance or fire shows (evening only)
  • Longer camel treks
  • Photos taken by the operator
Quad bike tip: ask two questions: how many minutes of riding, and whether it is on a fenced track or in open desert. A short track loop and a guided open-desert ride are priced very differently.

Most Dubai morning trips head to the Red Dunes area near Al Lahbab on the Dubai to Hatta road. Midsummer mornings are still hot, so from June to September book the earliest slot available. If you are still choosing between formats, our morning vs evening safari comparison lays them side by side, and the evening desert safari prices page covers the dinner-and-show version.

Morning safari price and booking questions

How much does a morning desert safari in Dubai cost?

As of September 2026, shared morning safaris listed by Dubai operators start below AED 100 per person for a bare package (transfer, dune drive, sandboarding, a short camel ride) and reach about AED 300 per adult when a 20-minute quad bike session is bundled in. Private vehicles and premium conservation-reserve trips cost more. Treat these as indicative and confirm the price and inclusions in writing before paying.

What time is pickup for a morning desert safari?

Most standard morning safaris we checked collect guests between about 7:30 and 9:00 am and drop off around midday, for a trip of roughly 4 hours. Some operators run earlier sunrise departures in the cooler months. Your exact pickup time depends on your hotel area and is usually confirmed the day before.

Is breakfast included on a morning desert safari?

Not always. Many budget and mid-range morning packages include only water and soft drinks, while others add light refreshments or breakfast at a camp. If breakfast matters to you, ask the operator to confirm it in writing.

Is quad biking included in the morning safari price?

Usually not in the base price. Quad biking is either sold as an add-on or bundled into a higher-priced package, and session length (often 20 or 30 minutes) and whether you ride on a fenced track or in open desert both change the price. Check the exact duration before you book.

Can I get a refund if the morning safari is cancelled?

Policies vary by operator. Most will cancel or reschedule for bad weather, sandstorms or safety alerts, and many allow free cancellation up to a set time before pickup. Read the cancellation terms before paying, and pay by card rather than cash where possible.
