Dubai's most vibrant beachfront community — free public beach, 1.7km of waterfront dining and shopping, watersports, and the world's largest observation wheel next door.
Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is one of the world's largest single-phase residential developments — a beachfront community in Dubai Marina comprising 40 residential towers. The ground level features The Walk, a 1.7km outdoor promenade lined with 300+ restaurants, cafes, boutiques, supermarkets, and entertainment venues.
The adjacent public beach (2km) is one of the best free beaches in Dubai — clean, well-maintained with lifeguards on duty, changing rooms, showers, and easy Metro access. Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai (world's largest observation wheel) are a 10-minute walk from the beach.

Yes — JBR Beach is a completely free public beach. The 2km stretch has lifeguards on duty, showers, toilets, and changing rooms at no charge. Sun loungers can be rented for AED 30-50 if you want one, but they are not required.
Take the Dubai Metro Red Line to DMCC station (also called Dubai Marina), then walk 10-15 minutes to The Walk and beach. The Dubai Tram also has a JBR stop. Taxi from Downtown takes 20-25 minutes (AED 35-50).
The Walk JBR is a 1.7km outdoor waterfront promenade with 300+ shops and restaurants. It runs parallel to the beach and includes everything from budget shawarma (AED 8) to upscale dining (AED 150+). It is especially beautiful on winter evenings when it is lit up and full of life.
Yes — JBR is excellent for families. The beach has calm waters (relatively), lifeguards on duty, play areas, and beachside cafes. The Walk has family-friendly restaurants, an outdoor cinema (seasonal), entertainment events, and is generally safe, well-lit, and very people-friendly.
Jet skiing (AED 150-250 for 30min), parasailing (AED 200-300), paddleboarding (AED 80-120/hr), flyboarding (AED 250/30min), banana boat (AED 50-80/person), and boat tours (AED 80-200). Most operators are based directly on the beach — look for the watersports zone at the northern end.
