Operators time the dune bashing around the light, so pickup times shift through the year. In 2026 Dubai's earliest sunset is about 5:30pm (late November) and its latest about 7:12pm (late June). That means winter evening safaris start earlier than summer ones. Morning trips shift the other way: summer sunrise is around 5:30am, so pickups can be very early.
Tip: ask the operator for your exact pickup time the day before, and check sunset for your date so you know whether you will see it from the dunes or from the camp.

From June to September both are hot. The morning safari usually starts in the coolest part of the day, while an evening safari begins in the afternoon heat and only cools after sunset. If you are heat sensitive, go early or wait for the cooler months, roughly November to March.
