Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) is the UAE's main arterial highway — running from the Dubai-Abu Dhabi border (and beyond) to Ras Al Khaimah in the north. Within Dubai, the road passes through the Financial District, Downtown, and Marina, forming a dramatic skyscraper canyon that is one of the world's most photographed urban road views.
The stretch from World Trade Centre roundabout to Dubai Marina is lined with towers including Emirates Towers, DIFC Gate Building, Museum of the Future, Rose Tower, and dozens more. Taking a taxi along this stretch at night, with the towers lit up on either side, is genuinely one of Dubai's great experiences.
